About Me
I'm a senior Broadcast and Digital Journalism student at Syracuse University in the Newhouse School for Public Communications, as well as a Sport Management minor in the Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics. On campus, I am heavily involved with the student-run TV station, CitrusTV, in a few different positions. My primary focus is being an on-air talent in the sports department, and I currently anchor On The Bench, a SportsCenter styled show that features all of the Syracuse athletic teams. In addition, I host Orange Press Pass, the football, basketball, and lacrosse post game show. In the news department, I will rotate with a group doing the sportscast for the 6pm news show. Off camera, I spent the entire 2021 calendar year as the sports social media manager, where I looked over the Instagram, Twitter and YouTube accounts, and monitoring the team reporters and getting as much content out as possible to our platforms.
During the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to be the sports intern at WTNH-TV, an ABC affiliate in New Haven, CT. I worked with the four members of the sports team to build shows, edit highlights, go out to shoot local games and interviewing players/members of an event. There were many chances for me to write my own packages and even do a couple practice sportscasts.
The previous two summers ('20 and '21), I worked for the New Britain Bees of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, and took the position as the play-by-play commentator for the team in 2021. I called over 30 home games throughout a three month span, including the league's All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. I also interviewed players for Twitter before and after games.
When I'm not at the studio or class, I love going to the gym and watching TV, whether it's a show I'm binge-watching or a sports game. It's also very important for me to spend time with my friends. I am a diehard New York Mets, Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Lakers fan.
